Accessibility at Built For Her

Built For Her aims to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This page says plainly what we have checked, what we have fixed, and what we know is still not right.

What we have done

We run automated accessibility checks (axe, tested against the WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 AA rule sets) across the public pages and the member app, and we treat the results as defects rather than suggestions. Recent work includes:

What is not right yet

Our brand purple does not reach the 4.5:1 minimum against our cream and dark backgrounds at small text sizes. It is still used for some small text, mainly links inside legal documents. It is legible for most people but not for everyone, and we are working out the right fix rather than a quick one.

Our automated checks cover the public pages and the member app. The coach-facing admin tools have had less attention. Automated testing also cannot find everything — it catches roughly a third of the problems a real person would. We have not yet had this product tested by people who use screen readers, switch access or voice control daily, and until we do, this page should be read as a statement of intent backed by partial evidence.

Tell us when something does not work

If any part of Built For Her is difficult or impossible for you to use, please tell us — including which page, what you were trying to do, and what you use to browse. We will reply, and we will tell you honestly whether and when we can fix it.

If you need something in the app and cannot get to it, say so and we will give it to you another way — your programme, your numbers or your plan, in whatever form works for you.
